LIS Weekly

Week of February 15th, Issue 24

Intramural Girls Basketball

Liberty Intermediate School will begin intramural girls basketball February 22. There will be no charge for the intramural program and it is open to all girls in grades 5 and 6.

Basketball will take place at LIS on select Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays after school from 3:10 to 4:20. Due to early dismissal days and other gym scheduled events, we will not be practicing every one of those days. Please check the schedule on the bottom of this sheet to see the exact days of basketball.

Liberty Intermediate basketball is recreational basketball. We will be doing drills, fun competitions, and scrimmages. There will be no games with other schools. LIS intramural basketball is very laid back and is great for both girls just learning the game and players looking to get in some extra skill practice. Girls need to wear gym shoes and comfortable clothes for practice. Players need to have rides ready to pick them up at 4:20.

Skyward Gradebook

It is important that parents and students are staying up to date with the Skyward gradebook. Teachers are constantly updating their grades and it is important that students see their teacher's feedback to ensure they are staying on pace in class. With remote and hybrid learning it is more difficult than ever to stay organized with assignments and due dates. By visiting the gradebook weekly, it will go a long way in helping students stay on the right track.
