Staff Updates
We are off and running! Everyone should have procedures established and be moving towards focusing on the curriculum and classroom management. While in classrooms this week, I could already tell these things are happening. I am so grateful for all of your hard work!!
The locks on the second set of doors in the lobby area are now working. When you enter the front doors, you have about 10-12 seconds to open the second set of doors before it locks again.
- Please remember that if you haven't given the office a copy of your master schedule, recess schedule, and dismissal schedule, please do so asap!
Please practice all emergency drills again next week. These should include tornado, fire, earthquake, and intruder drills. Intruder drill does NOT need to be scary, but it does need to be practiced.
Make sure you have completed all training videos by or before September 30th!
Please make sure to track your professional development hours. These will need to be turned in at the end of the school year.
Make sure you are handing out those Bucket Fillers. Let’s celebrate those students whose behaviors are setting good examples for South Park!
Sub Tubs/Folders/Baskets: Please make sure you have a sub tub ready to go if you have an emergency and can’t make it to work. They should be completely ready so all we have to do is pull it out and place it on your desk. Explain, explain, and over explain sub plans.
Social Committee~ If you are interested in joining social, remember to pay your dues to Taylor or Trina.
Staff Celebrations/Shoutouts
- Shoutout to Ms. Wright, Ms. Hendrix, and Ms. Humble to take time out of their day to work on social cues with my one-on-one friend.
- Shoutout to Jennifer G for doing awesome with our friends.
- Shout out to all grade level teachers for being flexible when scheduling students for their special education minutes.
- Shout out to Courtney Dirks, Jennifer Gelina and Rhonda Piper for having a lot of patience when working with the most challenging students.
