A February Full of Fun!

Our clients, staff, and volunteers have been enjoying the wild ride of February weather in Ohio! We have put in plenty of work time this month, but we also found plenty of time for fun. One day even saw us enjoying weather that was warm enough to explore our woods, and cold enough to play in the snow. We also took time this month to work as a team on a puzzle, make Valentine's Day crafts, and start decorating some picture frames.

We made valentines...including some for the animals!

Tea Time

We are based in Common Ground Church Community, so we often spend time working on tasks to help the church. This month, we were able to help prepare for the Ladies' Valentine Tea. We set up tables, decorated, and even made herbal tea bags for the guests to enjoy. Last year we grew and then dried lemon balm, eucalyptus, lavender, and chamomile. After doing some research, we realized these all make great teas. So, we measured the appropriate amounts into tea bags and displayed them in pails for the Tea. We even packaged some up and sent them into Reach for the STARS in Salem, Ohio. Check them out, if you get a chance! And, we can report that the ladies all enjoyed our special Goodness Grows Tea!

Winter is the perfect time to work on building up our Jungle Jam supply. Soon we will be making the last of our Cranberry Hot Pepper...until next cranberry season, at least! Right now, we are very excited to share our big news! When you need our jam, you can still call us, wait for the upcoming farmers market season, stop at Reach for the STARS or head to any one of the four Simply Scarves...and Such locations around the valley. We are thrilled to be among all the fantastic local vendors whose products store owner Vicki McGee has chosen to carry in her shops! We send a huge thanks out to Vicki for her support!
