Principal Update - Adaptive Pause to Hybrid
Adaptive Pause to our Hybrid Plan
Friday, October 23, 2020
9:00 a.m.
Good Morning ELC Families,
As shared in an email by the district earlier this week, Barrington District 220 schools will be taking an adaptive pause in our hybrid learning model starting next Wednesday, October 28th. This decision was made as a result of the recommendation from the Lake County Health Department based on the increase in the number of positive COVID cases in our community and the region.
During the time frame of the adaptive pause, all elementary schools and the Early Learning Center will resume the distance learning plans that each school utilized for the first eight weeks of the year (August 24th - October 13th). If your child started this week in hybrid, they will be in distance learning on October 28th.
Please refer to the ELC Distance Learning Guidelines as a reminder of the distance learning plans we have been implementing. The Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 4 to discuss the next steps for Barrington 220 schools. At this point in time, all families will know whether or not the district will be continuing with the “Adaptive Pause” or if students can return to the hybrid mode on Monday, November 9th.
**Teachers and teams will communicate their specific schedules with you.**
Sincerely,
Ms. Michelle
