What a great week to be a STALLION!
Welcome back! I am excited to get back on campus and get back to work. We have 1 week to prepare for semester exams. This week will be fast and furious. Continue to check the Skyward Portal to monitor your students progress. They should receive a minimum of 2 daily grades per class, per week. This will help you accurately gauge where your student is. Thanks for all that you do. We will have a PTO meeting on Wednesday, December 12th, 2018 at 5:30 PM in the library.
See you around the campus...
Remember, we are the Best school with the Best students and the Best faculty and staff. Good, Better, Best!!! Never let it rest, until your good gets better and your better gets best!
Sincerely,
Leroy Bradley II

The teen years are prime time for exploring interests that may lead to a future career. Encourage your child to consider his passions when choosing electives. A gamer might take computer programming, for example. Or a nature lover may try environmental science.

Achoo! Cold and flu season is here. If your teen needs to visit the doctor, let her describe her symptoms instead of talking for her. You can always add anything she forgets. Learning to take care of her own medical matters is an important step toward independence.
¡Salud!

Spark family discussions and boost your child’s speaking skills with a game of “Would you rather?” Take turns asking questions like “Would you explore Antarctica or the Sahara Desert? “Be able to fly or to be invisible?” Deciding how to answer encourages critical thinking.

Many popular teen movies were books before they were films. Suggest that your child pick a favorite movie and read the book that inspired it. (Tip: Search online for the movie’s title plus “book.”) He might try other books by the same author, too.

Today is National Letter Writing Day. Encourage your teen to brighten the day of a friend or relative by writing a letter to share what she admires about him or her. She can include the good qualities she sees and share how the person has made an impact on her life.

Your new driver will learn how to change lanes and obey the speed limit. But before he gets behind the wheel, have him read the car’s owner’s manual, too. He should learn what each warning light means and what to do if any of them come on while he’s driving.

Constructing things encourages creativity and builds your teens’ STEM skills, too. Suggest that your child design gifts for family and friends. She might craft a key holder to hang on the wall, for example, or make a dollhouse for a sibling or cousin.
