MVM's Find Out First Reminder!
Last month, Dian Nelson from FCPS contacted charter schools with the news that Find Out First is an in-kind service provide to charters for no additional fee.
The administrative staff at MVM will be trained to use Find Out First (FOF) and families will have the opportunity to sign up for FOF notifications from MVM. Those who sign up will receive our bimonthly newsletter from FOF.
We strongly encourage you to sign up for Find Out First, as we will no longer send paper copies of the newsletters home.
In addition , we will continue using S’More to send more personalized communications to our families only, as this email distribution list is comprised only of families of our current students.

Still ISO: Library Volunteers!
We are still looking for more volunteers to add to our amazing library volunteer group.
- do 2 1/2-hour shifts in either the morning or afternoon
- do as many or as few shifts as they want
- check out books to students, check in books and re-shelve them, straighten shelves, and refresh book displays
This is a great opportunity for stay-at-home or part-time working parents, for parents new to the school, and for parents looking for low-stress, rewarding volunteer work.
Training to become a volunteer is quick and easy. Interested? E-mail to Jill Renkey, Library Committee member and parent of an UE student, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
