July/August Office Hours

The office will be closed on Mondays and Fridays during July. Normal hours Tuesday through Thursday will be 9am-4pm. The office will be closed on July 5.


In August 1-19, the office will be open 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday.

Meet Up and Read Up is Different This Year!

On Wednesday from June 29- July 27, students PK- Grade 5 may come for a book, a read aloud and a special activity. There will not be lunch provided this summer. At the same time, students in middle school can participate in the middle school activities provided by the Lapeer District Library and pick up a book. Please note that a parent/guardian must attend.

PIE Concession Stand at Romeo and Juliet!

This summer the Lapeer Community Theater will present Romeo and Juliet in the Chatfield Amphitheater. PIE will be selling concessions each night of the production. Please help by signing up to usher or to sell concessions for one of the evenings. Everythign will be ready so all you have to do is sell items or help people find a good seat! The Lapeer Youth Art Camp is coming this Summer for students age 10-12. See brochure below.

Summer Ecology Camps 2022

Explore one of the most amazing places in the world, your home. Nurture your relationship with the natural world and your community through fun, hands-on activities in the subjects listed below. The instructor is Peter McCreedy, a Lapeer native who loves mountain biking, swimming, and being in the woods. Peter created the Ecology Camp program in 1996 and loves working with students who want to learn about the natural and cultural history of Michigan. Questions can be directed to Peter, pmccreedy@chatfieldschool.org or 810-538-1741. Deadline to register is June 3. Registration is capped at 20. Above 20 will be added to a wait list. Confirmation will be sent via email after June 3.

(*) The 6th -8th grade adventure program features an offsite canoe trip and bike trip. Bike trip is on the Flint River Trail. Canoe trip is the Flint River. Transportation is the responsibility of participants. Canoes and lifejackets will be provided. Students must have a working bicycle and helmet, or make arrangements to borrow one.

Volleyball Camp Grades 5-8

Volleyball Camp Grades 5-8

We will be hosting a volleyball camp this summer! The camp will be for students entering 5th through 8th grade in 2022-23 with an interest in playing the game of Volleyball and is open to the community. The camp will focus on building a foundation in the Forearm pass, overhead pass, and under and overhand serve. There will be two sessions each day, the students entering 5th and 6th students will be from 9am - 10:30pm and the students entering 7th and 8th grade will go from 11am - 12:30pm LINK TO SIGN UP
