Keeping Us Connected with Campus and PTA News
With all the possibilities, confusion and hope that shifts in the learning environment bring, it has been wonderful to connect with many of you on the phone, via ParentSquare, in the hallways and on Zoom this week. Thank you for engaging in the conversations, sharing perspectives and gathering information to make the best decisions for your child and your family. One of the silver linings has been the increased collaboration, communication and support at all levels of our learning community from school site, to district, to county and state. Some days progress seems slow, some days change happens in leaps and bounds. As we all weather the ups and downs, grieve the loss of what we knew and lose patience, let's also remember that it "takes a lot of slow to grow".
A Lazy Thought
By Eve Merriam
There go the grownups
To the office,
To the store.
Subway rush,
Traffic crush;
Hurry, scurry,
Worry, flurry.
No wonder
Grown ups
Don’t grow up
Any more.
It takes a lot
Of slow
To grow.
Now that the Stay at Home order has been lifted, we can once again resume some on campus extra-curricular activities that meet all COVID safety guidelines. You may start to see or hear about small groups of students on campus for a variety of activities. If you would like to help host any small events, mini enrichment classes or grade level play dates, please connect with me this Friday at our 9am Coffee and Conversation, via ParentSquare or phone. I am looking forward to working together to find a variety of ways to create new opportunities in a safe manner.
Well wishes and gratitude,
Liza Eichert
