Drama
Athenians were the first people known to write dramas. The greatest ones have started in the 400s B.C during the Golden Age. Some on the famous plays were tragedies. (a tragedy is a serious that usually ends in disaster for the main character) In most of them authors used the chorus to give background information
Comedies
In the 400s B.C in Athens, poets wrote comedies that made fun of well known citizens and politicians and they also made fun or jokes abut the day. All because the freedom there people accepted the humor and jokes.
The Parthenon
The Acropolis, the religious center of Athens, had been destroyed in 480 B.C, during one of the city's wars. Pericles decided to rebuild it and create new buildings to glorify the city. They builders brought Greek architecture to its highest point. Their most magnificent work was the Parthenon, a temple to the goddess Athena. The temple was made of fine marble. Within the columns was a room that held the statue of Athena made of wood, ivory, and gold The statue rose 40 feet, as high as a four-story building. The statue of Athena disappeared long ago. Many of the scenes that decorate the Parthenon have three important characteristics. First, they are full of action. Second, the artist carefully arranged the figures to show balance and order. Third, the sculptures are lifelike and accurate.
What I enjoyed
The most thing I enjoyed about Greece was about the Parthenon, the visual and dramatic arts, and the Olympic Games. First, I enjoyed the Parthenon because it was very interesting that the statue of Athena was in it and i really like to write about it. Second, I enjoyed to write about the visual and dramatic arts because writing about the drama it was awesome that I learned some of the dramas they did and the person that made it also and also about the comedies because I learned a lot about this topic since i search it up and read it from the textbook. Third, the Olympic Games were very interesting since they didn't want girls to be in it so they just do it naked because the girls might feel discomforted. Those are the reason i enjoyed about Greece.
