Romeo and Juliet
By Ashton Paith
Even though there are many candidates for deaths of Romeo and Juliet, the feud is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. The feud is to blame because if there were no feud, then Romeo and Juliet would have lived a happy life together and there would have been no motive to kill themselves. Also, if there was no feud between the two families, then Lady and Lord Capulet would have not tried to force Juliet to marry Paris and there would have been no reason for Friar Laurence to give Juliet a potion and neither Juliet or Romeo would have killed themselves. As Juliet said,” But my true love is grown to such excess I cannot sum up sum of half my wealth” ( Shakespeare Act 2 Scene 6). In this quote, Juliet is saying that she would give up anything to not marry Paris and to live a happy life and marry Romeo. This is the reason why the feud between the two families is to blame for the death if Romeo and Juliet

This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonder struck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you

Dirty Dancing- Frances "Baby" Houseman, Johnny Castle, and Baby's father
The movie " Dirty Dancing" is similar to the story of "Romeo and Juliet" because in "Dirty Dancing" Frances "Baby" Houseman, falls in love with the best looking dancer named Johnny Castle. At first, Johnny Castle doesn't really pay much attention to her, but then he slowly starts to like Frances. Meanwhile, a waiter impregantes Johnny's partner, and when there's an emergency, Frances asks her father to help out. Baby's father assumes that Johnny was the father of the child, and so he is violently opposed to any romance between Baby and Johnny Castle. This is similar to the life of Romeo and Juliet because Lady and Lord Capulet will not allow Juliet to marry Romeo even though she is in love with him.
