The J-Hawk Experience
Info you need to know for week of August 28 - September 1
Off to a great start!
As we wrapped up the first week of school, I just wanted to give a big "thank you" to all students and staff at UHS for making it a great start to the year! Way to go, J-Hawks!
Our focus is on learning and providing a safe and supportive environment where all are connected and engaged so that we change the world. Be present...both physically and cognitively. Keep up the great work!
Sincerely,
Tim Carver

Get involved - Volunteer - Silver Cord at UHS
If a student is not signed up yet, he/she can register by emailing silvercord@urbandalenetwork.org for more information or stopping by the office to pick up a registration form. Students can also inquire with Mrs. Strong in Room 212 if they have have questions about Silver Cord at UHS.
By volunteering and logging at least 40 hours per year, a UHS student will not only have improved the world by serving but also will earn a special distinction at graduation with a silver cord to wear.
Going into the start of the 2017-18 school year, UHS has over 325 who have volunteered nearly 8,500 hours of service...not including those hours logged over the summer. Changing the world! #UHSpride

It was her devotion that sparked the idea of a speaker series for students and those who support them.
