Big picture

Up to $1000 per year in need-based financial aid available

Congratulations on becoming a member of the Crosby Scholars alumni! Upon graduating from the Crosby Scholars program in your senior year of high school, you joined an elite group of students from Rowan County who are now eligible to apply for college financial assistance known as the Last Dollar Grant. With the support of our community partners and donors, we have been able to award over $300,000 in support to our graduates since 2016.

Steps to apply for the Last Dollar Grant

Sign in to your Crosby Scholars student portal. (A parent account cannot submit a Last Dollar Grant application, so it must be your student account.)

Once logged in, please make sure to edit your profile so that it includes your correct contact information as well as the College Name, College Student Email Address, and College Student ID#.

Then, you can click on College Funding and the Last Dollar Grant in the taskbar to begin filling out your application. Your profile will auto-populate the first several areas of the application. Scroll down to the Documents section to attach the following files in either .pdf or .docx format:

  1. 2019-2020 FAFSA Student Aid Report
  2. College Financial Aid Offer
  3. College Acceptance Letter (HS Class of 2019 only) OR
College Grade Report (College Students only)

You can also upload documents in your portal by clicking My Crosby, then My Documents in the upper right corner. Click on the Last Dollar Grant Documents tab to upload or edit files.

Once all files are uploaded, you must click Submit at the bottom of the Last Dollar Grant application page. Applications will be processed in early July and decision notifications will be emailed to the student email on file.
