Scholastic Book Fair
The Scholastic Book Fair is here from December 7th- 17th, 2015 in the Professional Learning Lab. Our goal is to get 500 books into the hands of our students. Every student came to preview the book fair on the 7th, and sales have been brisk since then.
It's A Small World: International Culture Night
International Culture Night is December 15th beginning at 6:30 pm. Each grade level has been studying a culture from somewhere in the world. This year 1st grade is studying a part of American culture: Hawaii and will be doing the Hula. Montessori, 4K, and Kindergarten are studying Mexico and will have a dance and song for us. 2nd grade is studying Egypt, and I can't wait to see what they share with us. 3rd grade is studying about Sierra Leone and creating iMovies to share with their displays. 4th grade is studying England, specifically the Great Fire of London, so you know they are digging into history. Finally, 5th grade is studying France, and I have heard a rumor that the Eiffel Tower might be involved. We will have to wait and see.
The book fair will be open from 5 pm until 7:30 pm for families to shop before, during, and after International Culture Night. We hope to see you here supporting our students!
