Message from Ms. Frias

During supply distribution on Friday, September 11th, I was so pleased to see all of our lovely families and our beautiful students. I am in "awe" of seeing your children learn, seeing their work and at how strong our Lancaster community is. There is nothing we can't do together. Please continue to reach out to me through Class Dojo, Facebook (messanger), email or phone 434-3401, if you need ANYTHING. We are here to support you and to overcome challenges together.

We Are Aztec Strong!

Where are your children in their learning?

Istation and Imagine Math September 1st to September 30th

Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, Fourth Grade and Fifth Grade are being tested in Istation (reading) and Imagine Math (math) until September 30th in order to see where your child's learning skills are. These are NOT used for grading. They are used to build a learning plan for your children and then grow them up. It is very important not to assist your children, smile and ask them to do the best they can. We will work on their skills all year.

Fourth and Fifth Grade Students September 14th to September 25th

Fourth and fifth grade students will be taking a test in Reading and Math. These tests are to see where your fourth and fifth grade learning skills are. These will NOT be used for grades. We only ask students to do the best they can and that they take it without assistance from any family members or friends. These tests will be used to build a learning plan that we will work on for the rest of the year.

Remote (Online) and Face to Face Timeline Updates as of 9.3.2020

Remote (online) learning until October 9th

The YISD Board extended remote (online) learning for all students an additional 4 weeks. Remote learning will continue until October 9th.

The week of October 12-16 will be time to help our students who have failing grades and need more small group instruction.

Return to face to face (in the building) October 19

For those families who have opted for face to face instruction, students will return to the building on October 19th.

If you opted for online learning, your family may opt for remote (online) for the remainder of the school year.

Hello wonderful Aztec parents. We are now coming into our fifth week of school and you have shown so much strength and perseverance toggling this new normal. Changes are happening every day in our world and change can be difficult for both parent and child. Coping skills play a huge part in our lives today. I have attached an article from the Institute of Disaster Mental Health on helping children cope. Please reach out to me if you need further assistance or guidance. I am here to help. Have a wonderful week.
