Bridges Math - Students Love it!

Bridges in Mathematics is D103's new math curriculum for grades preschool through five. It offers a comprehensive curriculum. It provides a rigorous, coherent, engaging curriculum. Recently students were making cube and pyramid predictions by laying triangles and cubes out flat and then building them into different shapes. For more pictures of the activity, please visit the school's Facebook page. Watch this brief video for an overview of the program.

Volunteers Needed for Diabetes Walk

Run for D103

Early Bird Registration is now open for the 10th Annual Run for D103 5K Run/Walk. This PTO sponsored event will be held at Daniel Wright Junior High School on Saturday, May 9, at 8 a.m. Not a runner but looking to volunteer? The 5K Run/Walk Committee could use your help. Choose from over 50 opportunities and find the one that works best for you.

This annual event is a marquee fundraiser that D103 students and families look forward to every year. It has become known in the community as a fun, family race event hosting over 600 runners and attendees.

With a focus on health and fitness, entertainment, and education, over the past five years, the event has funded approximately $150,000 for D103 schools recreational sports fields, playgrounds and most recently the PTO helped fund the replacement of the existing "spine out" book shelving at the Sprague Elementary library with an innovative "face out" shelving system. This year, all proceeds raised from the event will go toward equipping the brand new STEM Lab currently under construction at Daniel Wright.
