Mrs. Walden's Weekly Update
Week of Aug. 15-19
Hello Cardinal, Families!
It has been a busy week with curriculum night and all of the math and reading assessing we've had going on. Unfortunately, testing is nowhere close to over, but I am pleased to say that it is going well.
If you were unable to attend our curriculum night on Tuesday, I am including the PowerPoint that we discussed below.
Curriculum
Math: We will be studying pictographs and bar graphs. Students will interpret the data to answer questions about these graphs, as well practicing how to gather their own data so that they can create their own graphs.
Social Studies: We will continue talking about communities.
Writing: We will be talking about and creating different types of sentences- statement, exclamatory, and question. As we do this, we will focus on adding details to our sentences.
A Few Reminders:
- Please make sure you put your child's name in any jackets they bring to school.
- Carpool: Please be in carpool line no later than 3:30 each day.
- Please send a break-away lanyard in with your child ASAP if you haven't already done so.
