Ci3T at Broken Arrow!

Students come to school with a wide range of academic, behavioral, and social strengths and needs. To serve our students well, Broken Arrow uses a plan aligning supports and services to meet these individual strengths and needs proactively. We are a Ci3T school, which means we use a comprehensive, integrated, three-tiered (CI3T) model of prevention. The CI3T model aims to prevent and respond effectively to the development of learning and behavioral challenges through tiers of support. Our school-based team—Ms. Self, Mrs. Hunt, Mrs. Bollig, Mrs. Ritter, Ms. Bliss, Mrs. Green, and Ms. Renk—creates and leads the implementation of the CI3T model based on the needs of Broken Arrow!

Tier 1 supports are items that support all students. A few examples with which you may be familiar:

  • Eagle Tickets

  • Eagle Store

  • Intervention Groups

  • Counselor lessons.

  • Expectation Matrix. There is a set expectation for behavior in every area of the school. Teachers explicitly taught those expectations at the beginning of the year and they are referred to continually.

Tier 2 supports are those that support students who need additional support. A few examples:

  • Counseling sessions

  • Counseling groups

  • Additional intervention support

Tier 3 supports are very individualized based on student needs.

See below for our Broken Arrow Expectation matrix and a visual of the Ci3T tiered system of support. We will be sharing more Ci3T information for families throughout the year on the Friday Flyer!

Custodian Appreciation Day!

We want to say a big thank you to Mr. Ken today for Custodian Appreciation Day! Mr. Ken works very hard to keep our building clean even though we have a custodial position that is unfilled at this time and today is the day we make sure we let him know how much we appreciate that!

Congrats Mr. Johnson!

Mr. Johnson was recognized by the district with the Staff Spotlight: Thankful Thursday Award. Multiple staff members nominated Mr. Johnson for his hard work and dedication to all students at Broken Arrow! Congratulations Mr. Johnson!

Broken Arrow Family Bravos!

Click HERE if you want to submit a Broken Arrow Family Bravo for a staff member who has made a difference to your child and family! I cannot tell you how much kind words and hearing that we are making a difference would mean to the staff!
