We have been working hard to prepare the library for our JG readers. We had a buy December and are gearing up for an amazing January. Please enjoy news from last month and a sneak peek of what is to come.

Congratulations to our second graders who won our checkout challenge for the month of December. Students put a pom pom in their grade level jar each time the checked out a book. Second graders checked out more books than any other grade in our school! Way to go!

All students at Julia Green participated in the worldwide event called Hour of Code. We had a lot of fun with an unplugged coding activity as well as interactive coding games on our iPads.

We have started a Robotics and Coding Club for second semester. Both days are currently on a waitlist. We hope to offer it again in the fall if you are interested in next year.

The JG library is ready for students with winter books on display now. Come check one out this week!

Our partnership with the Nashville Public Library, which is called Limitless Libraries, provides your child with access to books and materials at the Nashville Public Library. Your student may place a hold on an item, and it will be delivered to them at their school. We are grateful for this partnership that provides even more access to library materials. Last year, students in MNPS checked out nearly 100,000 items through Limitless Libraries.
