FOSS Christmas Fayre

Don’t forget that it is the FOSS Christmas Fayre this afternoon. The event will start at 2.45pm in the church when children will sing a selection of Christmas songs. The fayre will then be held with refreshments and stalls until 5pm. There will be a Christmas Tree festival in the church all weekend with contributions from the school. The village lights switch on will be held on Sunday. Please do come and support us.

Christmas Jumper Day & Christmas Lunch

Don't forget we will be taking part in Christmas Jumper day on Friday 10/12/21 and having our Christmas lunch. To make your donation please click the link below. All proceeds will go to Save the Children.

Children do not need to have new Christmas jumpers, home made, upcycled/recycled would be fabulous!

Pantomime

At present, we still plan to continue with the visit to the pantomime next Wednesday, although we do fear that this may be a little disrupted. We continue to watch the number of Covid cases carefully. If the number of cases in the area around the theatre remains low, and the number of cases in school remains low then the trip will continue as planned. If, however, this changes we will have to adjust our plans. Changes might be have to be implemented on an individual class basis but we cannot make firm decisions until the last minute. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience that this causes.

Collecting Box

Your child will have brought home a collecting box (candle) for the Children’s Society today. Although we all seem to use less cash these days, we would be very grateful if you are able to make a donation to this very worthy cause and return it to school by the end of term. This is linked to our Christingle, which is being held on the evening of Wednesday 15th December. Although all children will participate and will do Christingle activities, only those in Maple class will be given a Christingle orange this year.

Christmas Story

We will be teaching an RE-themed day on Wednesday 15th December, with lots of activities that will help the children to further explore the Christmas story.

Willow Nativity

Children in Willow class will do their nativity play in church on the afternoon of Tuesday 14th December. As there has been a spike in Coronavirus cases locally, we have to limit numbers at the event and so are just inviting parents of children in Willow Class this year.

Poppy Appeal November 2021

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Poppy Appeal last month. We raised £161.33. That's a fantastic amount, thank you for your continued support!

Bag to School

Thank you to everyone that brought their donations for Bag to School on Wednesday. We made £34.50 for FOSS - thank you!

School Lunches

Please see the Autumn Lunch menu below. Next week we will be on Week 1 of the menu.

As Friday is Christmas Dinner day, we will swap the Friday Fishcakes , jackets and sandwiches to Wednesday's lunch, just for next week.

Children can decide daily whether they are having a school dinner or packed lunch.

Please ensure you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like to order. Once they know their choices, they will choose this each morning with their teacher during registration.

Each day there are now 4 choices, either the hot dinner, hot vegetarian option, jacket potato with a choice of toppings or a sandwich. The sandwich and jacket potato always come with a selection of vegetables/salad on the side and have the full pudding choice for that day.

Autumn 2021 Lunch Menu

From 8th September - 18th December 2021. This is our new menu for September - children now have a vegetarian option to choose from as well as a jacket potato or a sandwich.
