Believe it or not Middle School is just around the corner! Please continue to look for your student to bring home their binders daily, check and review graded work in Thursday folders, and check for grades and progress on the Home Access site. Information on the Patriot Program and upcoming fifth grade events will start coming to you within the next month or so. Please be prompt in any responses/paperwork needed in planning these exciting fifth grade events.

Our Life Science unit is halfway complete. This is our final science unit for the year.
ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS:
UNIT: How are ecosystems impacted by humans and earth systems?

Experience 3: How do people design solution to protect and preserve the earth’s resources?
We are excited to be starting parts of our social studies units with Immigration and The Stock Market Game!

GOALS: Students set goals and worked very hard to achieve them by showing growth on their Middle of The Year assessments.
New Theme
We are beginning our Immigration unit, students will develop an understanding of the immigrant and refugee experiences of the past, through nonfiction articles and stories. Students will apply their new understanding to more current events.Next theme: Feats of Daring
