P-TECH at Watervliet Weekly Update
October 19, 2018
RPI STEM Day
Thank you to RPI and the Engineering Ambassadors for this great experience!
What would life be like for humans living in space?
We are excited to see the students' creativity and ingenuity!
Computational Thinking
P-TECH students are continuing to use their problem solving and design skills to code a multi-level game.
Can you make it to the next level? Ask a P-TECH student to let you give their game a try!
Project Based Learning
P-TECH is a project based learning environment. Students work on a project over an extended period of time – from a week up to a semester – that engages them in solving a real-world problem or answering a complex question. They demonstrate their knowledge and skills by developing a public product or presentation for a real audience. As a result, students develop deep content knowledge as well as critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills in the context of doing an authentic, meaningful project.
*If you have questions about a project, please contact a P-TECH staff member.
