Homecoming Week!

Homecoming is here along with all of the exciting activities associated with this week including pep rallies, themed days, and of course football. It is such a special time and Spring Hill is a special place. To me, homecoming means welcoming back past students and honoring the past. It also means showcasing the present and previewing the promising future of our students and our district.

To help honor the past, the SH Education Foundation will host a reception at the teacherage for this year's distinguished alumni. On Saturday, the Alumni Association will host a car show in front of the teacherage where visitors can see classic cars and tour the teacherage. The Alumni Association under the leadership of Annette Wolverton and her parents have transformed the teacherage into a museum of Spring Hill's past. The class of 1998 will also be hosting their 20th-year reunion.

It is going to be a great week and I hope to see everyone on Friday night. I encourage everyone to get here early for the festivities and the game. As always, we invite the community down on the field after the game to celebrate Spring Hill for 5th quarter fellowship.

See you Friday! -SS

Purchase a Piece of Spring Hill School History

August 2018 the original school building was removed. Spring Hill Alumni Association strives to preserve Spring Hill school history. The Teacherage is the only building from the 1932 construction still standing and is now a school museum. The building is in need of a new roof. In order to preserve the memorabilia donated from alumni through the years we are asking for your assistance to purchase a new roof. We have obtained 500 bricks from the original school building. For a minimum donation of $100 you will receive a brick with a plaque stating your Spring Hill information, and also a picture of the original building.

You may donate by PayPal at or mail to:

Spring Hill Alumni Association

PO Box 10061

Longview, TX 75608

Also, give us your name and years as a student and / or employee at SH to inscribe on the brick.

The museum is open the first Wednesday of each month from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm and available upon request.

We are very proud of the contents and would love everyone to visit the museum.
