MYP update of the week
Students received iPads this week at Ramsey. We are excited for students to be principled and responsible iPad learners this year at Ramsey. iPads are a great tool to help students be inquirers and explore topics that they are interested in. Students are also able to use the Schoology app to communicate with teachers and classmates and reflect on the progress they are making in their classes. Check in with your student to see what they are most excited about as they start to use their iPads this year.
This week at Ramsey
In Ms. Fontana's ELA Workshop 7 class, students completed their first summative assessment by writing about a theory about a character in a short story we read in class and defending their theory using textual evidence. We will be starting a new writing unit next week on writing short stories, but students should still be reading 20 minutes/night for homework and returning their signed bookmark reading logs on Fridays.
