SPRINGFIELD MAVS 10U UPDATE
November 30, 2015
CLUB WIDE - MAVS BASEBALL ADOPTED A FAMILY FOR THE HOLIDAYS
3440 South National
Springfield, MO 65807
This is the Vision Clinic on South National. Mitzi Lewis works there and she is in charge of all the presents for all the Mavericks teams. If you decide to drop it off there, you can just drop it off with the greeter at the front desk. Just make sure your items are labeled with Mavericks 10U so she knows which child the presents go to. Nothing needs to be wrapped, just labeled. Big Brothers / Big Sisters will wrap the gifts for the family.
Per Julie Brewer's email, she is available to meet you if you can't get by the Vision Clinic to drop off your gifts. Her cell phone number is 832-875-0003, so if you would like her to pick up anything from you please feel free to text her.

JANUARY 14 - Chick-Fil-A Fundraiser
Monday, January 11
Everyone who comes in that night to support our fundraiser must put their receipt in the black box that is located by the main door. Our team will get 20% of each receipt that is in the black box at the end of our Spirit Night (8pm). Someone from our group will need to stand by the black box. We are allowed to remind people that we know to put their receipt in the black box by the door. They do not want us to approach people about their receipts after they pay if you do not know them. We can also use the drive thru. When they pay for their food, they must mention that they are here for the Spirit Night and ask the cashier to put the receipt in the black box for them. If someone orders a food tray, that counts too! A flyer will be made to help you promote our night. We can do mass copies, mass email, etc. with the flyer.
The boys will help serve and bus tables for this event.
If we have 3 people cleaning tables, getting refills, sweeping floors, etc. we will be able to put tip jars on all of the tables. (32) We will need to provide our own tip jars.
We need families to sign up for each shift. Please confirm you can work. Also, if you plan on working both shifts, please let me know. We need the volunteers for the following:
1- Tip Jar Coordinators:
2 - Decorating and Coordinating to Make Chick-Fil-A look "Mavy"
3 - Shift to Work: 4:55 to 6:25
4- Shift to Work: 6:25 to 8:00
FEBRUARY FUNDRAISER - Bair's Pancake Breakfast
We have scheduled our pancake breakfast fundraiser at Bair's on South Campbell. This is a great fundraiser and team building event for the boys. The boys will serve the tables and get refills. Bair's provides tickets to us to pre-sell for $5 each (which includes breakfast and a drink). We make $4 per ticket in profit plus tips. If we promote it and pre-sell tickets, this should be a very profitable fundraiser for us.
