Beach Buddies' Bulletin

Wow! What a busy, but fun we had in kindergarten. Cookies, plays, treats, caroling.....but also some great books, poems, songs, and learning games.

Wednesday we loved cutting, decorating, and baking our gingerbread cookies. On Friday we graphed where we took our first bite---head, leg, or arm. Ask your kindergartner about their first bite! Thanks for all our parent help this week. Much appreciated!!!

In other literacy learning this week we:

*learned a gingerbread poem

*talked about settings and character with our holiday books

*made star word and AT family sentences

Check out our blog for a Fruit Feast video. Sorry for the delay! I promise to get pics from our holiday week online over break.

The kindergartners have loved designing their own gingerbread cookies online too. Fun for the whole family! (Link below)

Apps to Share...

Super Duper StoryMaker is an awesome story telling app. We'll be using it in January!

Geoboard is a free shape/design creator.

In January we will be exploring snowmen and polar animals. After break we look forward to Miss Martinez, a student teacher from St. Ben's, joining our classroom. She has already visited us twice so she will be a familiar face.

Here's to a wonderful holiday and winter break. I hope your family enjoys some happy and restful days together. I will be anxious to hear about your family adventures when we return in January.

Wishing you peace and everything good,
