Spring 2024 Esports Season Registration Open Now!
Join the BG Esport team! Compete against other high schools from around the state for glory and fame!
Spring Season is January 8 - March 28.
Monday - Thursday. 3-5pm.
Register through the BG ASB office. The fee is $85.
You’ll need this WIAA Physical form signed by a doctor in order to complete the clearance through ASB.
We will compete in the areas of League of Legends, Rocket League, Smash Brothers Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Valorant.
All Practices and Matches are in the BGHS Library.
We are looking for any level of player.

Attention 10th and 11th Graders
Sophomore and Juniors,
The College and Career Center staff wants to invite sophomores and juniors to a Cascadia Technical Academy presentation held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 during Tiger Time (9:45 am - 10:15 am) in the College and Career Center. There will also be a field trip to Cascadia Technical Academy on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 (8 am - 10:15 am). Interested students can sign up in the College and Career Center and obtain the required field trip permission slips.
Want to take the ACT w/ Writing on Feb. 10, 2024?
Battle Ground Public Schools will offer 10th through 12th grade students from each of our high schools the opportunity to take the American College Testing (ACT w/ Writing) in person this spring. The test will be offered on Saturday, February 10th. Registration is open now. The deadline to register is Friday, January 5.

Get help with applying for college financial aid
Seniors and families looking for help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or the Washington Application for State Financial Aid can attend one of the upcoming in-person events:
Jan. 10, 2024: Battle Ground High School, 3-6 p.m.
Jan. 16, 2024: Prairie High School, 3-6 p.m.
At least three days prior to attending one of these events, parents/guardians and students must each set up an account by creating a FSA ID.
Instant Decision Day
Seniors join representatives from Washington State University for Instant Decision Day at BGHS on January 23, 9:45 - 11:30 in the College and Career Center.
This event is recommended for seniors with a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher fro Pullman and 2.8 GPA for Vancouver. If you're not sure of your GPA, check with your college and career office!

Architect Internship Opportunity - Application due February 2
Design CoMission is a semester-long design internship at LSW Architects in downtown Vancouver. Interns work
collaboratively, exploring their passions through design in a safe, no-experience-required setting. The goal is for each
student who graduates from the program to gain clarity in their own unique abilities, gain new skills, and discover pathways to a fulfilling and passionate career.

The internship runs from Feb. 20 - June 6 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 - 6 PM. Students will also earn a .5 credit for the non-paid internship.
Ninth Annual BGPS Industry Fair set for February 15
Attend the Battle Ground Public Schools Industry Fair to learn about apprenticeships and jobs in health care, education, manufacturing, technology, construction, finance, hospitality, retail, transportation and more. The event is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 15 at Battle Ground High School. Some employers may be hiring--bring your resume!
Join the resume workshop from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. to help build a resume!
Everyone is welcome. This event serves students, families and the community. Child care will be available at the event.

Big Future Scholarships from the College Board
Current high school juniors and seniors can be entered into monthly drawings for $500 or $40,000 scholarships until February of their senior year. No essay, minimum GPA or test score is required, and there are also no citizenship requirements. To be entered into the monthly drawings, complete steps on the BigFuture website such as starting a list of possible careers and applying for financial aid.

Classroom assistant hiring event
Also known as paraeducators, these professionals work closely with teachers to support students. Previous teaching/classroom experience or a teaching degree is not required.
