These should be pictures they are willing to have published for others to see of students participating in football, volleyball, and cross country. We would LOVE to have a variety of pictures for the yearbook, and parents often get the best pictures!
Pictures can be sent to bjohnson@mhlt.org, or you can upload them to our Parent Sports Pictures Google folder. Thank you!
NEW STAFF HIGHLIGHT.............................. Kindergarten - Erica Olson
NEW STAFF HIGHLIGHT .................................. 1st grade - Katelyn Michalski
My name is Ms. Michalski and this is my first year as a Firebird. I am originally from Slinger, WI but moved down to Arizona to attend school at the University of Arizona. While there I graduated with a bachelors in Early Childhood Education with a Minor in Sports Management. Upon completing my education, I taught Pre-K for a year before deciding that I needed to move to my favorite place, Wisconsin. I love being back in Wisconsin and being able to spend so much time outside. My favorite outdoor activities are paddle boarding and going on hikes. If I am not outdoors, I am enjoying my time with family and friends. I am so excited to be here at MHLT and I look forward to seeing what the future holds.

Coats for Kids. The local Knights of Columbus organization donates new winter coats to our school. Cold weather is right around the corner. If your child is in need of a winter coat and purchasing would be a hardship for your family, please contact Susan Way (X2134) or Deb Schillinger (X2234).
Stick Together – On September 25, our 4th and 5th graders will participate in Stick Together, sponsored by Project Love and Duct Tape®. Kids will learn what a kindness chain is like, they will imagine what kind of school they want, and they will be offered opportunity to sign a pledge to stick together against bullying in our school using colorful Duct Tape and a super-sized banner.
R-E-S-P-E-C-T For the month of September, the MJ1 District is focusing in on the character trait of Respect, which means treating others the way I want to be treated and being considerate and honoring the feelings, opinions, and property of others. This theme will be woven into classroom lessons and staff will “catch” students in the act of showing respect for others by offering encouragement like “way to show Respect for your classmate when working together today”.
