Woods Lake Elementary

Weekly Update: June 07-11, 2021

Hello Woods Lake Family,

Thank you families for partnering with us in the educational experiences of your child. This is our final week of school with two on-site celebrations for students!

Wednesday, June 09, 2021, we will have our fifth-grade farewell celebration from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on the soccer field. We ask that those that plan to attend this face-to-face event complete our RSVP form prior to coming to inform our planning.

We will also celebrate our Kindergarten students with a very special open-house style event on Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. We will have cool treats, signed promise certificates, pictures, and more... We ask that families attending, complete our RSVP forms prior to arrival.

It has been my honor to serve you in this capacity as the principal of Woods Lake Elementary. Thank you for all of the well wishes as I begin my new role as Director of Elementary Education for the Kalamazoo Public School District.

As always, Stay Safe and Stay Healthy!

Micole D. Dyson, Ph.D.

Academically Talented/Avant-Garde 2021-22

Any student who has already been identified for A/T will be invited to participate next year, regardless of whether they participated this year. We understand that this year was a unique year and that many families chose not to participate; therefore there is no penalty for this. We will let families know that if they wish to opt-out again, they may do so by contacting the elementary education office.
