This week Mr. Claus' 9th grade Physics students held their "Physics 40" race to see who could run a 40 meter race at the fastest or most consistent speed. Here is a sneak peak at some data from Cohort A Period 4.
Ask a 9th grader you know: Who had the fastest speed? Who had the most consistent speed? How can you tell?

The Anatomy & Physiology classes got hands-on, both in class and at home, with their first dissection. Each group built a "person" out of fruits and veggies, or whatever they could find in their pantry.
Then they were assigned one of three anatomical planes (Sagittal, Coronal or Transverse) on which to transect their Veggie Person.
It was then their job to use their newly learned vocabulary to illustrate their Veggie People in two-dimensional diagrams where they labeled the many of their different body regions.

CARING CRUSADERS
CMHS students should have received a reusable water bottle courtesy of our local substance use prevention coalition, Carver Cares. Students are invited to participate in the initiative by writing on the bookmark found in their water bottle and sharing it on social media, or sharing photos of their healthy coping skills in action! The bookmark asks students to reflect on things that bring joy, such as hobbies, sports, music, etc. Students are encouraged to share their photos/bookmarks with @CaringCrusaders_CMHS on Instagram, or via email to CarverCares@gmail.com. By entering a photo submission by March 15th, the student will be entered into a raffle to win a $25 Amazon gift card! Please contact Katelyn with any questions at CarverCares@gmail.com.
