New Counseling Plans in September
What are Minute Meetings?
- The opportunity for the counselor to make meaningful, individual connections with each student on her grade level.
- The meetings are an easy, school-wide screening tool to help address student needs as they pertain to our counseling domains of: Academic/Career and Personal/Social.
- Helping to assist students in planning for life beyond high school, to become college and career ready.
- Through this tool, the counselors also give the students the opportunity to express celebrations, concerns and needs.

Stuff Out Cancer
My name is Kaitlyn Sitton and I am a seventh grader at West Lake Middle School. September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. To bring awareness, I am collecting BRAND NEW Stuffed Animals to donate to Texas Children’s Hospital, so we can, Stuff out Cancer. The campaign will last from September 1 through September 30. Your school has chosen to adopt this service project on your campus. Please bring a NEW Stuffed Animal and drop it off at the designated drop off spot in your school. Please help me put smiles on the faces of the children battling pediatric cancer and bring them some snuggly comfort!
Please follow us on Facebook at, Hats Off for a Cure and Twitter @hatsoffforacure.
