Seeking help for the 2018-2019 school year!
Dear Hawley Families:
The Hawley PTA is seeking candidates to fill the Treasurer position on the Hawley PTA Executive Board.
The primary role of the PTA Treasurer is to maintain custody of PTA funds and to make disbursements as authorized by the Executive Board, in accordance with the adopted budget. The Treasurer will utilize an existing Excel Workbook that keeps a running total of bank account balances, tracks detailed activity, summarizes financial data by programs, and tracks results relative to the budget. The current PTA Treasurer spends approximately 1-hour per week on these duties. An accounting background is not necessary. Strong math skills, a working knowledge of Excel, and a desire to serve the Hawley School Community are a must! A full list of Duties of the Treasurer can be found here (see page 5-6) or you may contact Debbie Clark at debbie@clarisconstruction.com with any questions.
In addition to the Treasurer position, there are several PTA committees that require a chairperson for the 2018-2019 school year. No experience is necessary! Following is the list of committees:
- Advocacy
- PTA Reflections
Descriptions for these opportunities may be found here. Please contact any member of the Hawley PTA Nominating Committee with your questions or to express an interest. We would love to hear from you!
Thank you for your consideration.
