Please also label your child's belongings. Unfortunately, we are getting to the season of boots, gloves, hats, and coats! Please help us to return lost items by labeling them.
Fall Parties
Families,
Halloween is exciting for many. The thought and planning that go into getting the perfect costume, the trick-or treating, the candy and so much more. As you know, we are unable to have Halloween Parties, but that does not mean we cannot have a little fun.
With so many things changing this year, and having to adapt to a new “normal”, we want to make sure we still have a little fun along the way. Students will be permitted to wear their costumes to school and we, as a school, will do some fun things (non-food related) while following all guidelines.
If your child decides they want to wear their costume to school, there will be some rules that they need to follow:
· Students are not permitted to wear their Halloween masks/makeup
· Costumes must be school appropriate
· Students will not be permitted to bring accessories for their costumes
· Students will still partake in the regular school day, attending lunch, recess, encores, etc. They will wear their costumes during this time.
· Students will be responsible for taking off and putting on their costumes when needed (ex: bath-rooming).
· Costumes will be worn all day. If you are worried about your child’s costume getting ruined you may want them to wear something different
· If your child does not want to wear his/her costume, they can wear a Halloween shirt, fall colors, etc.
Again, there will be no typical parties like we have had in the past. Teachers will still make an effort to make the day fun and recognize the day by having fall-themed activities and/or crafts.
