What are essential oils and how are they used?

Essential Oils are aromatic substances that are extracted from plants. The oils are not considered essential for health however many people believe they have medicinal properties that support healthy living. Essential oils can be applied topically, consumed orally or can be used aromatically. Many essential oils have powerful antioxidant properties which help to destroy harmful bacteria and viruses while supporting the immune system.
