Dates to Know

  • Wednesday November 20th, Staff Appreciation Luncheon
  • Wednesday November 20th, Chipotle Spirit Night

We had a very successful Veterans Day Celebration this year! Special thanks to our music teacher, Mrs. Koch, and our musical Pandas for providing such a wonderful program. We enjoyed hearing from our special guests Lt. Col. Jude Carey and Representative Julie von Haefen. We were also excited to welcome Superintendent Moore to our school. Let's not forget to wish our Veterans a Happy Veterans Day on Monday!

CANDY COUNT: With the help of our Pandas, we were able to collect 10 boxes of candy for the troops as well as many wonderful letters, cards, and pictures! A big thank you to our families for this effort! Our troops will surely be grateful for all of those sweet treats and encouraging messages.

The Wake County PTA Advocacy group is hosting a discussion on vaping later this month. Michelle Mulvihill, Public Health Educator/Tobacco Prevention and Control Manager from the Wake County Health Department will be talking about vaping, specifically what we can do to address policy issues that can make an impact and parent messaging. The meeting space is being donated by a church in Cary, and if you need to bring children, it is in a large enough room where they could read/screen time/etc without being an issue. Because this is a hot topic, especially among high schools, parents and PTA members are welcome to join.

Date: November 14th

Time: 7:00 pm
Location: Good Shepherd UCC (1050 NW Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27519)
