Team building
With new seats and new team mates, we always work together to come up with a new table name. This time, the students had to work together to put the heart shaped puzzle together to write their new name on it.
Fractions
One way to learn about whole, 1/2, and 1/4 is to create a pizza and describe what is on it using fractions!

Our final products. Good enough to eat....almost.
Comparing fractions
We worked with our elbow partner to draw fractions that were on slips of paper, and then we compared them using the sentence strips of is the same as, is smaller than, is bigger than. We were able to compare the fractions based on our drawings.
