Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

1) Physiological Needs
Physiological Needs was number one on Maslow's Hierarchy of needs. He believed this was the most important thing we as humans need to live and survive. In this category, it contained things such as: Air, Food, Drinks, Shelter, Warmth, Sex, and Sleep. These are basic needs for survival.
2) Safety
Safety is placed at number two on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. He believed that being protected and safe is very important for the human beings. Security, order, protection from elements and law are some good examples of safety.
3) Social needs
Social needs is number 3 on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Our social needs contains things like: friendship, intimacy, affection, and love from work, family and friends.
4) Esteem
Number 4 on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is Esteem. This is how you feel about yourself. It contains: achievement, mastery, independence, status, dominance, and self-respect.
5) Self actualzation
The final thing on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, is Self Actualization. Confident, being happy with yourself, learning to grow, and reaching goals are some of the examples.
