Message from School Nurse
Hi Parents-
As the weather becomes colder our skin tends to become drier. Many students come to our health clerk with dry skin and chapped lips. It is important that students stay in class, so I would like to see a decrease in these sorts of office visits. If you would like to send a tube of chapstick or a small bottle of lotion with your student's name on it, they can keep it in their desk or backpack and use it as needed.
Thank you-
Heather Chatwin RN - School Nurse

NEW DROP-OFF PROCEDURES
Thank you for your patience this morning as we tried to navigate the new drop-off system this morning. Here are some important reminders:
#1 - Pull all the way forward. Please don’t stop at a certain door to drop your child off. What should happen is that everyone pulls as far forward as they can, then everyone stops and kids get out, then everyone drives out.
#2 - Please have your kids ready to quickly get out of the car. If one car stops, then it backs up the traffic all the way down 1390 North.
#3 - Only drop your child off in the lane closest to the school. Please don’t drop them off in the lane for through traffic. Also, please don’t drop them off on the street as there is no stopping or parking on 1390 North.
#4 - Remember to not stop ON crosswalks. The crosswalks need to remain clear at all times.
#5 - If you need to come into the school, please park in a parking stall and then come in. Don't leave your car parked in the drop off lane for obvious reasons.
Finally, please be patient and courteous with each other and with our aides who are outside helping. Gratefully, 99% of you were patient and made things run smoothly this morning. However, we actually had a few people roll down their windows to give our aides an earful even though they were just there to try to help.
