GBE Weekly Scoop

GBE Vision Statement:
GBE Students want to be a Champion in:
Attitude
Action
Academics
Staff Recognition
I think this is a good time for me to point out a few celebrations, I noticed lately.
I noticed recently a student that was struggling had a success and was able to celebrate this week positives in different awards today-- celebrating this side of who that child is and not just behaviors we may see at times. That is HUGE for this child!
I noticed a tough situation that came to us for a student and the adults that rallied around that giving grace, when we know a tough situation made it hard for positive behaviors to happen at school. That student will remember how when lashing out the adults met the choices with a calmness and understanding. That student will remember this grace given with parameters that worked best in the situation. That student will remember the adults that said we care enough to work through this with you, and have you here where we want you to learn.
I noticed a student who usually struggles in math "get it" this week when working with fractions, and the empowerment the student and the teacher felt when the student was able to feel confident and passionate about showing others how to problem solve.
This was a smile that lasted for days for the student and the teacher.
There are many more I noticed this week. Know that you do not go unnoticed and you have a place and a great purpose in their lives. In our profession there are so many moments that we notice, that will mean more to that child in the end.
Thank you and I celebrate each of you! Enjoy your break-
