QPR Suicide Prevention Sessions Added
QPR stands for Question, Persuade, Refer and will provide some of the skills needed to help save the life of someone who is thinking about suicide. Now more than ever we are hearing about the potential impact of COVID 19 on the mental health of people and the risk of increased suicide attempts and deaths. It is important that we learn these basic skills in an effort to save lives.
Additional QPR training sessions have been scheduled for the next two weeks. Links to register and information on the training can be found below:

Just for Dads Virtual Series
Just for Dads is a 12-week series using the 24/7 DADS curriculum created by the National Fatherhood Initiative. The series explores issues of fatherhood including: anger management, discipline, nurturing, and role modeling. Sessions will be held via Zoom on Tuesdays, beginning May 19 through August 11, 2020 from 6:00 p.m - 7:30 pm. Sign Up for School Wellness Program
Step Up for School Wellness is a program that provides students, teachers, and administrators with the training, curriculum, equipment, funds, communication tools and external coaches needed to create a healthy school environment. Applications are due by September 30.

Amusement Park Physics CANCELED
Curbside COVID-19 Testing Available
Hackley Community Care has opened a COVID-19 curbside testing site at their facility located at 2700 Baker Street in Muskegon Heights. Testing is administered via drive-through, curbside service while patients remain in their vehicles. A test may be obtained by current Hackley Community Care patients or new patients experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms.
Persons wanting to be tested must call their office at 231-737-1335 for a screening and telehealth visit with a medical provider before utilizing the curbside testing site. The testing site hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
