A police Officer the civil force of a federal or local government, responsible for the prevention and detection of crime and the maintenance of public order.

Dangers in this Career

The dangers can be protecting the civilians and putting your life on the line for others. Also going into unknown territory to arrest someone.


A police officer needs a college degree in Criminal Justice and he/she needs to pass the Police Academy. The Police Aceademy is a more physical school testing your activity level.

Universities used for Training

Portland State Universitiy, and The University of Phoenix are good choices to get started in this career. They provide extra training and help for this specific career choice.


Average salary for a police officer is $35,000 a year. This depends on the ranking that you are in in the police force so if you are a high ranking you make alot more money.
