DPS Education Foundation has a New Director!

Megan Nipper began as the new Director of Danville Public Schools Education Foundation and Coordinator of Business Partnerships on November 1, 2022. She was a teacher at Galileo Magnet High School since August 2019. Megan holds an MBA and a Masters in the Art of Teaching from Liberty University. Her undergraduate degree is in business- Hospitality and Tourism Management from Virginia Tech. She is already working diligently to raise money to support educational activities for teachers and students, scholarships, and incentives for teachers.

DPSEF partnered with the Danville Otterbots and Danville Running and Fitness Club to host the 2nd annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk and Children's Fun Run on Thanksgiving Day in Danville, VA! The event started and ended at American Legion Field, the home of the Danville Otterbots. All proceeds will go towards programs, initiatives, and scholarships for DPS students and teachers.
