Thank you Dr. King!
Principal's Message
I am so thankful for all the students, parents, and teachers that have contacted me these past days. I can assure you all that our campus is safe!
I spoke to our entire campus over the PA this morning to talk about using social media for good and how we must always fight to focus on our purpose and here at school it is learning. I shared with them that in this world we live in there are those that try to instigate fear and those that want to create "drama" to avoid the work that must be done before them. I shared that our spoken and written words should build people up and not tear them down. There is no joke when our words try to create fear and that those that do will be addressed accordingly. I asked them to continue to utilize KidChat, Anonymous Alerts, their family, and our faculty to report any concerns. Every report is investigated fully to ensure the safety of our campus. I am thankful that our campus is safe!
With MLK Day this Monday I wanted to share his two of his quotes above. They are perfect for the events of this week. Please take the time to discuss them with your child. Parents and schools working together help our children reach their full potential!
Below I wanted to share the pictures of our students who competed in the Conroe ISD Western Art Show last weekend! We are so proud of our talented artists. Congratulations to Ms. Gabrielle Rickwalt for being named a finalist! Good luck in Houston!
If you are new to our campus please use the links below in our newsletter to go over the "Common Area Expectations with your child. And I welcome everyone to watch our weekly TIger Nine News!
Also, if any of your children missed taking any of their fall semester exams they can still make them up this month by taking them on our tutorial days; Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, in our library.
It is my honor being your child's 9th Grade principal! If you ever have any questions or concerns please always feel free to reach out to me.
I hope you all have a restful and relaxing weekend!

A word from our Clinic...
With flu season arriving, here are some good practices to keep our students healthy, and avoid spreading illness to other students and their families.
- If your child is running a temperature of 100° or greater, or has obvious symptoms like body aches or chills, he or she needs to remain out of school.
- Even if a student’s temperature can be lowered to below 100° with a fever-reducing medication such as Ibuprofen or Tylenol, the student still needs to stay home.
- A student may return to school when fever-free for 24 hours without a fever-reducing medication.
- Encourage your child to use good hand washing techniques, wash often, and avoid touching his or her face.
Notifying the school nurse is extremely helpful, so please let me know if your child tests positive for the flu. As a student recovers from the flu and returns to school, the nurse will be aware and better able to observe the student for symptoms which may not be resolved.
