The Bird Call

It's a Learning Experience
The end of a school year is full of emotions. We celebrate our successes and plan for what we can do better. Many of us look forward to the excitement of coming back next year while for some these will be their final days walking the halls of Clever High School and a new chapter will begin soon. As I have reflected on this, one thing is certain, we are all still growing.
Regardless of what stage of life someone is on, this world is full of challenges, and we all face difficulties from time to time. The path of least resistance is often crowded but that does not make it the right way to travel. Sometimes, the best way to overcome our hardships is to confront them head-on and persevere through them. And there are times that we don't even know we are on a journey or the reason for the journey until we are through it.
When we confront our problems, we gain a better understanding of them. We can identify the root of the issue, which allows us to address the cause instead of just treating the symptoms. This approach can lead to long-term solutions, rather than short-term fixes that may not work in the long run.
Going through a challenging situation can also lead us on a journey of self-discovery. We often don't know we're on this journey or understand the reason for it until we come out on the other side. In hindsight, we may recognize that our struggles have shaped us and helped us grow in unexpected ways. As the saying goes, "It is always darkest before the dawn".
Of course, this doesn't mean that we should look for confrontation or always try to tackle our problems alone. It's important to seek support and guidance from others when we need it. Whether it's a friend, family member, or professional, having someone to talk to can help us gain perspective and find new ways to approach the problem.
So remember, the best way out is not always the easiest or quickest way. Sometimes, we need to face our problems head-on and work through them to find lasting solutions. And, we might not even realize we're on a journey until we've completed it. But by persevering through difficult times, we can gain a better understanding of ourselves, our strengths, and our purpose.
Wishing everyone a safe and relaxing summer. To our seniors and those who won't be returning to CHS next year, know you will be missed, and best of luck with what comes next. Remember, once a Bluejay, always a Bluejay.
