Is it Donald's Trump wig?

Is it a fruit? A bird? A mammal?

It's a caterpillar of a Megalopygidae moth.

Megalopygidae are a groups of insects species know as crinkled flannel moths. The larvae are called puss caterpillars and with their long hair which resembles Donald's Trump hair. They have venomous spines that can cause a painful sting and inflammation lasting for several days. In some cases, the sting may cause headache, nausea, and shock-like symptoms.
