New Classroom Furniture

The new classroom furniture arrived over winter break, and it is installed. Students and teachers are enjoying the new furniture that slides in and out of groups easily, and gives different options for low and high tables. The different arrangements possible from this style of furniture really change the old paradigm of square desks and straight rows. Ask your students about them.

Utt Falcons Go Skating

80 Utt Falcons came to the PTO sponsored FUNraiser this January at the Holiday Skate Rink. Utt families and staff had a terrific time. It was great to see so many Utt families out.

Utt Falcons Bring Home the Dino Cup

Congratulations to the Utt Falcon Cross Country Team for winning the Dino Dash Cup. The Tustin Public School's Foundation awarded our team the cup in January. Check out the video of Coach/Teacher Williamson as he shares his words of congratulations with the team.

Utt Chosen as a TUSD Connect School!

We have exciting news! Utt has been selected to be a model school in the second annual TUSD Connect Institute. The TUSD Connect Institute is a workshop where school district leaders from all over the state and country come to hear about TUSD Connect. During a portion of the event, attendees participate in school tours. This year, along with Beckman High School, we have been selected to be one of the TUSD technology demonstration schools. Go Falcons! Pictured on the right: 7th Grader in Mrs. Barajas class shares the Pic Collage he's created to demonstrate the concept of Photosynthesis.

Falcon Flyer Luncheon

In January, we held our second Falcon Flyer Award Luncheon of the year. This is a unique award as teachers are able to select only one student a quarter that exemplifies our core values of Attitude, Commitment, and Achievement. At the luncheon, families are invited to have lunch with their student and teacher to celebrate their hard work. It is, without question, one of the hardest honors to receive at Utt. Congratulations to all of our Falcon Flyer recipients!
