At the end of the 2004 climbing season, 1,400 different climbers from twenty different countries had completed a total of over 2,000 climbs. Jon Krakauer's Adventure

Although all the events in Krakauer's book Into Thin Air are pretty harsh and rather gruesome, he still recommends going to Everest. He still recommends because it was the one time in his life that he understood reality and he believes everyone should step into thin air and see the truth before their life passes them by.
