Week 19!
Greetings Team WMS!
As we are celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, we are reminded that our Wilder core values echo his leadership. At Wilder, we consistently encourage, model, and reward respect, kindness, and accountability. Many of our students are consistently displaying these behaviors and having positive experiences. One such student, Omega Joppa Haskins, has been named our 2023 Light of Hope recipient. Ms. Joppa Haskins will be honored at the district-wide celebration on Monday!
If your student is not being successful, here are some daily reminders that you can reinforce at home:
- Many off-task behaviors and negative interactions occur in the hallways during class change. Reporting directly to class will decrease the chance of having a negative encounter.
-Limit interaction with social media and texting. Cell phones should be put away in the backpack and only removed with adult permission.
-Focus on learning. Our staff is highly trained in delivering content and plan to offer daily high-quality lessons. Students should come to school ready to focus on instruction.
Thank you for your support at home!
