About M.C. Escher
M.C Escher was born in Leeuwarden, Netherlands in 1898. Escher was famous for many things but he was most known for his tessellations. He made hundreds of tessellations such as dogs, cat’s birds, insects, and other things. Escher was different than most artist he was individual. Escher died in 1972 when he was 74.

Transformations
There are multiple transformations used in tessellations. One is rotation, rotation is when it rotates around its middle. Another one is reflection, reflection is when something has a mirror image. Tessellations can also have translations, a translation is when it is moved in a straight direction. These are some transformations used tessellations.
