4th Grade Challenge Students 'hold their weight' at the Bridge Contest!

Oakview's 4th grade Challenge students spent approximately 3 months learning about bridge design. They formed teams and constructed bridges from Popsicle sticks and white craft glue. On March 9th, they competed against other Greenville County schools in 4 categories: Best Architectural Design, Most Original Design, Best Craftsmanship, and Best Structural. We are proud of our winners in the Architectural Design category. In 1st place were the Mad Bridge Builders. This team consisted of Aurora Stuckert, Delaney Doran, and Manasi Chowbey. In 3rd place was team 'Argument'. Members included McCown Hawkins, James Wallace, Neha Shivanna, and Parker Halpin. Several other groups had bridges that held over a 100 pounds of weight. These students represented Oakview well at the competition!

A Warm Welcome to our New Custodial Staff Members

Oakview is proud to welcome our newest employees, Michelle Powers and Michael Stroud. We've enjoyed having them in our building and appreciate the hard work that they do everyday to keep our school at top shape!
