Activism for Social Change Series: Erin Gruwell Presentation
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Place: Kresge Recital Hall
Erin Gruwell, acclaimed teacher & author of The Freedom Writers Diary: How a Teacher and 150 Teens Used Writing to Change Themselves and the World Around Them, will present with remarks focusing on Educational Equality and the Value of Diversity.

Fresh Check Day

Fresh Check Day is the signature program of The Jordan Porco Foundation (JPF). JPF works closely with colleges to plan Fresh Check Day in an effort to bring awareness of mental health resources and coping strategies to college campuses. It is a celebratory fair-like event that includes interactive expo booths, free food, entertainment, and exciting prizes and giveaways!

Tejas Shah, an immigration counselor at Franczek Radelet P.C., will provide information regarding Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and discuss the potential implications regarding the recent announcement to end the program
